DAY SHIFT - 5:00AM to 3:00PM - 20-minute paid lunch

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: As a shipper/receiver II, you will be responsible for performing receiving and shipping functions incoming and outgoing product along with movement of all material within the plant and on the grounds. Strict adherence to policies and procedures, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude are the key aspects of this position.

• Builds and maintains daily shipments to meet workflow demands
• Coordinates and schedules LTL and full truckload shipments with various carriers through website portal.
• Identifies opportunities for cost savings within shipping lanes working with carriers.
• Invoices daily parcel, LTL, and full truckload shipments accurately and efficiently
• Assists team members with receiving, picking, packing, and processing of shipments in a safe and efficient manner
• Operates a forklift
• Daily work hours will reflect the support needed and work content in shipping and receiving.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:

• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and work on feet for length of time
• Technological skills required with knowledge of operation’s manufacturing software, as well as Microsoft products, including Excel and Word in Windows environment
• Forklift certification within 90 days of hire date(Preferred)
• Works well in all- weather climates
• Organized, Attention to detail, and follow-up skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstration of being strong team player
• Experience in a production warehouse environment desired
• Previous experience of scheduling freight

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs.
• Bending, lifting, and standing
• Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
